Purath-Strand Funeral Home & Crematory has been serving Racine area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.
Richard E. Purath and Gary L. Strand founded Purath-Strand Funeral Home in 1985, and moved into its present location in January of 1986. Since its inception, Purath-Strand has been a full-service, family-oriented funeral home that strives for excellence in service and support.
Continuing this tradition, in the fall of 1999, Purath-Strand took the next step in serving the needs of the community by opening Racine County's first cremation facility. In 2000, Richard retired from active participation in the business. Today, Purath-Strand operates to the exacting standards of service and support that defined them from the start.
